Pumpkin Walk

Every year in Logan we have what is called the Pumpkin Walk, where groups from around the valley put together displays made out of pumpkins.  This year the theme was heros.  There were many great displays, they had Veggie tales, Batman, a pumpkin having surgery, (you could see its guts coming out), one of phelps swimming in a race (they looked kind of dead to me), Moses parting the corn sea and even one that resembled grandpa fishing for fish made out of pumpkins.  I pointed out this one and told the kids “hey there’s grandpa!”  Because of this Sophie spent the rest of the night walking around yelling GWAMPA! WHERES GWANPA WANT GWANPA!

Here are a few pictures that we took while there and a few of us on top of the big straw bail fort at the corn maze.  The kids had a blast playing hide and seek in the dark running around in the straw bail fort with flashlights.

Happy Halloween!

Daniel asked me the other day what bones look like.  I told him to remember the last time he was eating fried chicken and he got to the hard part that you throw away, thats the bones.  He sat and thought about it for a little while and then said “But some Chickens don’t look like food”.  I guess he is right, when I see a live chicken running around the yard it certainly doesn’t look like food to me.  Its amazing what kids come up with.

The kids are out of school for the rest of the week for fall vacation (wish I got fall vacation) so I should have lots of time seeing what amazing things the kids come up with, I just hope they dont break anything else.

Ok so the add comments has been fixed.  You should be able to add comments without having to log in now since that didn’t seem to work so good.

It got COLD this morning, I actually had to turn on the heater. Time to get out the hot chocolate I guess.  Hope you all have a fun weekend!

I think I have lost some of my brain cells in the last few weeks but I am hoping they will slowly return.  The good news is the tests all came back benign.  Speaking of tests here is one that is suppose to test your brain.  Can you find the man in the picture?  Doctors have concluded that if you find the man in the coffee beans in 3 seconds, your right half of your brain is better developed then most people.  If you find the man between 3 seconds and 1 minute, your right half of the brain is developed normally.  If you find the man between 1 minute and 3 minutes, then the right half of your brain is functioning slowly and you need to eat more protein.  If you have not found the man after 3 minutes, the advice is to look for more of this type of exercise to make that part of the brain stronger.  But really what do doctors know?

By the way, if you want to leave a comment you have to log in first.  Happy October, where the heck did Sept go?
